About Our New Phoenix Series Pick Sets Are you encountering more Euro Style Keyways? Our new GSP (Government Steel Plastic) Series Picks are made to a "EURO" design approach that incorporates reduced height for easier pick access into keyways that were designed to be restrictive. We added profile designs already battle tested in EURO keyways. We then put them into our famous molded plastic handles. These picks are light weight; the plastic handles transmit vibration to you, and they cost less! Our new tumble / polish process smoothly rounds the edges of our picks. Phoenix Gold GSP Pick Set: only $199.00 w/plastic handles(P-Gold-GSP SET).
The DCAP picks are very short in height which increase’s your maneuvering room when picking those back pins. The lifter pick's sole purpose in life is to let you maneuver spool pins. Then we added two of the STT (Serrated Tension Tools) because of their added strength.

The Slenders are useful in working with PARACENTRIC type keyways. I have never seen a truly para centric keyway, but manufacturers do make the warding close to being interlaced as a way to keep standard width picks out. If they made a truly para centric keyway, the key would be very fragile. But our Slenders are only about 0.015 inches thick, and they easily pass through these keyways. And because they are made from Government Steel, they do so from a position of strength, as well as fineness. A French locksmith had asked us to make a low profile hook pick in the slender design. We made one because of his request and added it as well!

How do you top the Platinum Set? We took out the Postal and Snowman picks to make room for the DCAP-3. Then we added our Prybar and Prybar Lite tension tools. Adding the Peterson Knife tool for opening padlocks only made sense. Adding $54.00 retail of parts for a modest $30.00 price increase seemed like the right thing to do. The ultimate in picking, and the ultimate in pricing at the same time!

The two double sided scissor extractors plus a saw tooth extractor will solve most broken key problems. Our three "Wafer Lock Readers" for sight reading seemed to be a logical addition, as was adding the GM Ring Clip Remover for removing steering wheels (the bottom tool in the picture) - just in case. The Wafer Doc Repair Tool (second from the bottom) only made sense. The sharp claw on the right hand end lets you pull down a bent wafer. The hook on the left hand side lets you get behind the wafer; and the tool's shape lets you pull on the wafer to straighten the wafer back out so that the ignition can be turned. Then we put them all in a custom case that is about one inch taller than our others. There is still lots of extra room left in the case for any other favorite tools. THIS IS A SPECIAL REDUCED PRICE.
About Our New GSP series Pick Sets The (GSP) acronym is derived from: Government Steel Picks in Plastic Handles. The GSP Series pick sets in this grouping are all designed to the same reduced height EURO profile design concept that the Phoenix sets use. As with the Phoenix picks, we use our well known knurled Plastic Handles to allow you a firm grip on the pick - even in hot sweaty weather. In cold weather they are far more friendly to the user than a metal handle. The picks used in the following sets are selected from the original twelve pick profiles that Peterson has offer over the years; the same ones that you the locksmith has seem to favor. To those of you who use a full handed grip, (I always lay a finger on the handle) the plastic handles do transmit a terrific feedback vibration from pins coming to sheer. They are a much lighter much lighter weight than the rubber handle versions, which seems to accentuate the feedback. This Euro Based set's focus is on the professional who does’t want to spend a lot, but needs a wide selection of the very best in picking tools. Peterson constructed this GOVERNMENT STEEL SET with all 20 Euro Profile picks, and then added out top selling Flat-5 Tension Tools Set, a Spiral Extractor and a Mini Saw tooth Extractor. 
To make a good thing even better, we added the red handled DCAP-3 picks and a Lifter Pick to the Silver set. These DCAP-03 picks solve problems encountered when a key has deep cuts next to the bow. This type of pinning makes for a fragile key, but it does add security. When As you are applying tension from the front of the plug, it only makes sense that the front pins tend to pick first. By the time you reach the back of the lock, your picking movements combined with the height of your pick tends to overdrive those deep cut front pins. 
In the Platinum Set we substituted our famous "Stainless Slenders" in place of the DCAP-3 and Lifter pick.
