They are then vibratory polished, blackened and then professionally fitted with the finest handles in the world. Carbon Spring Steel - Standard Thickness These carbon steel picks are not only made of superior grade steel than that of other manufacturers, but are also heat treated to our own custom tempering standard instead of using cheaper “off the shelf availability” heat treating as others do. This gives you the superior toughness of Peterson Picks, and is just one of the reasons they last longer.

Government Steel - Standard Thickness These Superior Picks are made from our proprietary grade of stainless steel. This is our famous Government Steel that outperforms, outlasts, and in general beats the heck out of all other steels used by anyone to manufacture lock picks. Each pick comes with a rubber-molded handle to provide you with excellent grip. The high-density rubber does not keep you from feeling the pins.

These Specialty Picks are made from our proprietarily grade of stainless
steel. They have reduced heigth profiles to help you overcome "the
lock that could not be picked."

Government Steel Slender Picks
At 0.015,” these government stainless steel picks are less than 75% the thickness of other 0.022” “thin” tools. Thin, but extremely strong, these picks are coated with textured dipped handles and are perfect for picking narrow keyways (such as small format I-Core cylinders). They are also invaluable for the locksmiths who prefer a very light touch in their technique.
